Grace City North Shore is having our inaugural weekend away from 22-24 March 2019 - and we'd love you to join us!
Whether you've been with us since the very beginning of our journey a year ago, or you are brand new to Grace City, we'd be so thrilled to welcome you to our Weekend Away.
In the weekly rhythms of church and everyday life, there are very few opportunities for us to spend unhurried time together, and there's nothing quite like a weekend away to cement some of the budding friendships in our church family, and also to make new ones.
We expect that this will be a significant marker in the life of our community, so you're not going to want to miss it!
Make sure you register NOW to take advantage of the early bird rate (ends on 28 February!) - and get in quick because spots are quite limited (not a marketing ploy - it's not a huge venue)!

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Weekend Away?
We'll be staying at The Venue Conference Centre, which is located a 5-minute walk away from Bellambi Beach on the South Coast of NSW. It's about a 90-minute drive from Chatswood and is also easily accessible by train (5-minute walk from Bellambi train station).
Who is invited to the Weekend Away?
Anyone and everyone! You don't have to be a regular attendee of the church, or an official member, or a Christian, or even know anyone in the church, to be able to come along. In fact, if you are wanting to make new friends or deepen existing ones, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What is the program for the weekend?
A full program will be released before the weekend, but our time away includes a lot of fun (organised and otherwise), time together encountering God's presence through worship in song, bible teaching and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, meals together and free time.
What accommodation options are available?
Most of the accommodation at The Venue is dorm-style (non-ensuite). Families with children will be provided with their own rooms, but adults will generally be sharing rooms with up to 3 others of their gender. There is also a camping option available (at a reduced rate) for those who would like to pitch a tent (BYO all equipment) on the conference grounds.
Will my kids be looked after?
We love the kids who are part of Grace City, and we want them to have a fantastic time on the Weekend Away too. They'll share meals, fun and free time with us because we want to foster an all-ages family feel for as much of the Weekend Away as possible. However, during the main sessions, there will be some level of supervision available for the kids.
Are my meals catered?
The Venue is a self-catered facility which means that we will all be getting involved in preparing and serving the meals! However, this will be organised centrally (you'll hear more about it soon), so apart from your own snacks etc. you will not have to bring or organise your own meals.
Will dinner be provided on Friday night?
Dinner will not be provided on Friday night, so we suggest that you eat before you arrive, or on the way down from Sydney (McDonald's Heathcote is on the way - about 30 minutes away from The Venue - you're welcome).
Are there day or part-time rates available?
At this stage, given the short duration of the Weekend Away we will not be offering day or part-time rates. We do sincerely hope that you are able to come along for the whole weekend!
Is there help for people under financial pressure?
Yes! We don't want financial pressures to keep anybody from joining us on the Weekend Away. If the cost is going to prevent you from attending, please get in touch and we will discuss some other options. If you are someone who is able to sponsor another person's place, there is a box that you can tick on the online registration form to notify us of this - thanks in advance for your generosity!
What do I need to bring?
A fitted base sheet, pillowcase and blankets are provided, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag/doona, top sheet and bath towel. Aside from that please also bring clothes for cold weather, sport and swimwear if you would like to head to the beach during free time. Parents of young children should also bring whatever additional bedding they require for their children (travel cots etc.)
