How God grows sweet peas (P’s) in our gardens of life by Sandy Mace

We plan on having a “How to…” section in the newsletter each month where we will explore a wide variety of topics to help equip us for “life and godliness."

For our first one, we are delighted to share Viv Condon’s list of Sweet Pea’s (P’s), which she read out at the morning service a few weeks ago.  In 2 Peter 1:3 we are assured that “ His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”  Some of the Sweet P’s are blessings and promises, which are ours as sons and daughters of Father God. Others on the list we need to grow in as we put our trust in Him, our Gardener.  And He prunes us to enable our greatest budding and fruitfulness!

We hope you will enjoy reading the accompanying verses and meditating on God’s promises to us:

Pardon (Mark 2:6)
Purity (1 John 1:9)
Peace (John 14:27)
Plans (Prov 16:3)
Prosper (Jeremiah 29:11)
Provision (1 Timothy 6:17b)
Protection (Psalm 91:14)
Presence (Acts 2:28)
Praises (1 Peter 2:9)
Power (Ephesians 3:2)
Pruning (John 15: 1-2)

Thank you, Lord, that you give us everything we need to grow and flourish in your garden in every season of our lives.
